AnaBio Technologies LTD is pleased to announce the official opening, on Monday 26th March 2018,of its new Centre of Excellence for Encapsulation Technologies in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork, Ireland.

AnaBio Technologies, an all-Irish company, was started 6 years ago by Dr. Sinéad Bleiel and Jens Bleiel. Dr. Bleiel is a specialist in protein chemistry, having received a BSc in Food Science from the
University College Dublin, a MSc. in Protein Chemistry from Michigan State University and a Ph.D in Micro-encapsulation from the University College Cork. With this background, in 2011, Dr. Bleiel decided to translate encapsulation science into a successful, global, growing business.

The Mission
The mission of AnaBio Technologies LTD. is to develop and commercialise natural food-grade microencapsulation technologies. To date, AnaBio has more than 15 commercial products on the market supported by registered trademarks in specific territories. AnaBio’s core technologies are protected by 13 patents for the stabilisation, protection and targeted release of sensitive ingredients.

AnaBio’s products are clinically proven to significantly improve stability and targeted delivery of active ingredients, such as Probiotics, Omega Oils, Amino Acids, Sports Supplements, Micro-Nutrients, Peptides among others. Consumers can benefit from AnaBio’s technology, for example, through better muscle recovery and synthesis, enhanced satiety and reduced food intake, enhanced bioavailability of nutrients, improved gut health and immunity, treatment of constipation, relief of digestive discomfort, reduced blood glucose levels and sustained energy release over time.

AnaBio’s researchers and industry advisors are continually developing new commercial applications in collaboration with its customers for novel micro-encapsulation technologies. As a result of the successful product development phase at Teagasc, Moorepark, Fermoy, Co. Cork, and with a view towards future expansion, the decision was made in 2017 to move AnaBio’s research, development and production to a dedicated facility at IDA Business Park, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork.

AnaBio’s Centre of Excellence for Encapsulation Technologies officially opens on Monday 26th March 2018. The Centre features world-class research laboratories, pilot-scale production facilities, main offices and designs are finalized to develop a best-in-class manufacturing area for micro-encapsulation of sensitive active ingredients.

The AnaBio team has worked with key equipment manufacturers, suppliers and customers to develop bespoke solutions for specialised micro-encapsulation processes.

The resultant process design makes AnaBio a unique global manufacturer of innovative ingredients, which represents ground-breaking innovations for our broad customer base.
