The Young Leaders International Science and Engineering Public Service Program

The Young Leaders International Science & Engineering Public Service Program purpose is to nurture and harness Young Scholars between the age group 25 to 45 and contribute concretely to the Scientific & Engineering communities worldwide ! This program addresses a wide array of issues in science & engineering such as from the fields of metallurgy, organic chemistry, medicine, chemical engineering, nanotechnology, wireless telecommunications, pharmacogonsy, ayuerveda, social science, economical science, political science, financial theories, mathematics and poetry.

This program will inculcate a Scientific & Engineering temperament within both developed and developing economies. It will potentially be a platform to harness innovation, be an incubator to investigate & support new frontiers of research, and observe how new scientist & entrepreneurs develop and market R&D intensive products.

  • The intended outcome of this initiative will be an opportunity to engage future leaders interested to contribute to growth and development of an economy as well as themselves, while providing their valuable expertise to a particular sector.

How:

  • Through this formal platform for future young leaders to connect with their other counterparts around the world.These leaders or innovators or scholars, will have expressed clear interest to participate in public service because they want to substantially contribute to the world.
  • This program will be a proper channel and platform to do so professionally, and officially. This opportunity will nurture and harness the interest of these internationally renowned world class experts and leaders in their field and are interested to contribute to the world beyond themselves and their organizations as well as country of origin.
  • This initiative will invest in those research/professionals that don’t necessarily have the means; time and information to initiate such a contact, and are also identified as natural participants of this program.
  • Most professionals of this generation feel indebted to give back to the world or their country of origin. This program will offer them this opportunity – an official gateway, that could acknowledge this sense of belonging and contribution as well as introduce them to experts and faculty to substantiate their participation.

What: The program will have the following criteria for selection of potential candidates to participate in it:

  1. Working professionals/ leaders / innovators within the age group 25 – 45 years, representing any region of the world
  2. Will have the ability to interact with senior leaders of their field, and convey their expertise through cutting edge lecture series or research or innovation
  3. Will be available for minimum of one week to participate in the lecture series for those participating in subcategory experts program, six months for those professionals participating in scholar exchange program to conduct in-house research, and one year for those who would be interested participating in a sabbatical in a host institute
