Dr. Harish Chander Dutt

Dr. Harish Chander Dutt is an ecologist in “The Himalayan Ecological and Conservation Research Foundation (HECRF). His expertise is in ecology and conservation, particularly conservation of high altitude ecosystems and medicinal plants. He has communicated his research findings in the form of sixteen published research papers and three books of national and international repute. When Dr. Dutt was a student at University of Jammu, he along with his two colleagues has launched an organization named as “The Himalayan Ecological and Conservation Research Foundation (HECRF)” (www.hecrf.org), where all the members are committed towards restoration of the Himalayan Ecology. Presently, he is holding an honorary position of Executive Director and Scientist in Division of Plant Sciences of the foundation. Dr. Dutt has PhD from University of Jammu & Research Associateship (Postdoc) from IIIM, Jammu. Beside, his engagements with HECRF, he is teaching ecology in Department of Botany at University of Jammu, India.
